I wouldn’t be surprised if the director of speechwriting actually handed in her two-weeks notice on her first day on the job, 4 months ago. But the letter of resignation was such a word salad that it took the staff 4 months to figure out what she was saying.

Meghan Groob, speech writer, is stepping down. As a writer of speeches, she put the spoken word into written form, writing what was to be said, literally “writing speeches”. Writing speeches to right wrongs, but writing about righting wrongs from the Left, not the Right. We will miss her “Left wrong righting writing” as we continue to speak speeches in the future.
