There’s a report that the CDC employees dont need to be vaxxed. That’s a slap in the face of the American public.
When I was much younger, they always told me it couldn’t happen here. I never, ever believed it. Your average German citizen was not some evil demented monsters. They were just ordinary folk, like your next door neighbor. They are all around you, and this past year or so has brought that into sharp relief for those of us who are paying attention. The average person is nothing more than sheep who can be driven to do unimaginable things (cheerfully, in many cases, I might add). All they need with someone with just a smidgen of ‘authority’to tell them it is OK.
It doesn’t even take much of a push, nor does anything at all need to be explained to them. Logic and reason are foreign concepts to 90% of humanity.
It has ever been thus. Civilization is a very thin veneer, that is swept away in an instant once ‘necessity’ is claimed.
The American political establishment is very good at fascist tyranny. We would hope for people of courage who would step forward…but they know that they will be destroyed completely, and forever, by that tyranny and by its media machine. Not just their careers, their lives and their families would be crushed - if not killed - by that power.
It might just be too much to ask for that kind of sacrifice when the chance of it even being successful is near zero. The country is going down into a pile of rubble anyway, and that might be the only way to rid ourselves of this monstrous government.
