You may have noticed that, especially in the last few years, western civilization, and American society generally, seems to have plunged into an abyss of insanity, depravity, and general confusion. With the introduction to concepts like “Critical Race Theory” or “Gender Theory” to the national discourse, and with words being created seemingly out of thin air, like “heteronormative,” “pan-sexual,” “non-binary,” and the prefix, ”cis-,” society has been pushed closer and closer to the edge of national disunity and societal insanity.
The fact that men and women are now being referred to not as “male” or “female,” but “cis-male” and “cis-female” by not only professional idiots who happen to be gender studies majors or bitter middle-aged lesbian feminist college professors, but by major corporations who make the sodas you drink at barbecues or who manufactured the car you drive or even by a legendary company beloved by children for decades that was, until recently, an institution in and of itself, is an indication of just how far our society has fallen. And, indeed, “Doctor” Jill Biden’s latest speech at the “Latinx Incluxion” luncheon, in which she made a gaffe that would cause any average peon to be completely demolished and ostracized, blackballed, and character assassinated by American Pravda (CNN, MSNBC), is just the latest example of America’s collective mental breakdown.
While all this woke nonsense and linguistic gibberish may make it sound like the people uttering these ridiculous words had a stroke, rest assured, these words are being used not by accident, or not just to be sensitive to the “feelings” of others, but to, quite literally, erase reality itself. Postmodernism is a solution to a non-existent first-world problem.
Once it achieves its goal and destroys society, humanity will again have to face the grim reality of fighting for survival.

How pervasive is this insanity? In my bubble I see mews networks and woke corporations playing along and maybe see some freak at a retail store. But I don’t see a majority buying into this foolishness.

It's been going on a long time and though the internet has mitigated the process, it also presents opportunities for the media to spread false news much more quickly and much further.
Media lies have become more crude, frequent, incessant and blatant to compensate for the fact that voters have wider choices for news.
Revolutions don’t require broad popular support. A crazed minority is sufficient.
Especially after major institutions — media, academia, religion, government, corporations — have not only been infiltrated but conquered.
Gramsci wrote about this in the 1920s.

Basically the need to abolish common sense because the average person otherwise would quickly figured out communism is a scam.

Postmodernism goes way beyond just taking over institutions. It is a war on reality, truth, rationality, morality...

Yes. There is a word for this: Decadence.
This is decadence.
This is the decay of a civilization. It leads to the complete destruction of that civilization. There is nothing good about it.
History is full of examples.
Can a civilization be brought back from decadence once the decay has begun?
Donald Trump believed that it could be. That's why he risked everything--a considerable amount in his case--to return his beloved America to ascendancy. However, the forces of decay are formidable. Witness all those who opposed him and his efforts. Witness the lengths to which they are willing to go to sabotage his efforts, to destroy him and his family, to destroy his supporters.
Witness the contempt for truth--truth for its own sake--that clouds the judgment, thinking, and intellectual and moral clarity of those who have allowed themselves to become afflicted by the decadence.
Notice the depths of madness to which they are willing to allow themselves to descend.
Notice the depravity to which they are willing to allow their madness to take them, and note that there is no depth to the possibilities of depravity. That is a warning. Those so afflicted are not likely to heed that warning. In fact, they are likely to destroy anyone, if they can, who sounds the alarm, i.e. to silence that warning and all warnings.
Not long ago, the USA was ascendant.
Can it return to ascendancy? Only time will tell.
More and more, 21st century America resembles Rome in its decadent period. Much can be learned from the comparison because there were Romans who recorded what happened.
It's important to observe that, even in the depths of depravity of their civilization, there were people of sterling character, unshakable morality, and unrestricted commitment to truth. They were unable to save Rome from decay and collapse.
In William Golding's marvelous study Lord of the Flies, there were as many good people as depraved people.
Great minds teach us that always--including 21st century America--there are as many good people as depraved people. In today's America, will they be able to rescue the USA? Pray that they will.

Agree, nationally we see this garbage promoted 24/7 in their sick attempt to normalize it.
I doubt that the majority of Americans are buying what they’re selling in spite of efforts by the Left.
At some point normal people will get fed up. I wondering if anyone is seeing signs of it, or a flat out rejection of it.
I’m in a conservative area in a red state. My view of the world is probably different than others.
