Grandpa needed some education on imperial measures. A imperial gallon is 20% larger than a U.S. gallon. What makes it really confusing is that an imperial ounce is around 4% less than a U.S. ounce. In Canada, if you bought a container that held 1 U.S. gallon, it would say 133 (imperial) oz on the label, not 128 oz. Now the Canucks are metric.
