A Democrat witness and 'storyteller' with the pro-abortion group We Testify told the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday that her abortion was an 'act of self-love.'
Sarah Lopez, who regularly lectures women about abortion, told the committee: 'My abortion was the best decision I ever made.'
Lopez continued: 'I am here today to make sure that everybody who currently needs an abortion, who has had an abortion, or will need an abortion, is not alone no matter what the state tries to force up on us.'
On We Testify's website, Lopez describes her job saying: 'I share my story because I love everyone who has had abortions and I want them to know they're not alone no matter what led them to their decision.'
In that profile, Lopez writes: 'I honor my abortion by no longer giving a shit about what people will think if they know I've had an abortion (that goes for friends AND family).' She adds that it has been five years since her abortion.
She was testifying at a hearing on the impact of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade.
Lopez says that she honors her abortion saying: 'I love my abortion and I will remain unapologetic because it was the best decision I've ever made.'
Lopez goes on to blame 'the patriarchal society' for teaching women that 'our bodies are not ours.'
Understandably, Lopez's remarks provoked outrage on Twitter.
According to her LinkedIn page, Lopez is also a client coordinator at Jane's Due Process, another pro-abortion group and she previously worked in the same role for Fund Texas Choice. Lopez is based in Austin, Texas.

‘act of self-love’
You love your creation more than you love your Creator.
Best of luck on Judgement Day!
Thanks. I heard a little yesterday afternoon about it. Will branDUHn and pals keep using the story since a trespasser was the perp?
See post 4 in this thread.
Now THAT’S the Latina female that the Left loves.
She’s the real deal. NOT
Pedo joe/DNA check? Was he ever within sniffing distance? 😕
Self love = selfish
Interesting story ... I remain more than a little skeptical.
A side note, though ... If this story is true ... are we supposed to rejoice because the girl was able to kill her child? Some people, even on this forum, seem to think so. I find that repulsive.
I know, this is a tragic story.
At one time, it was scandalous to a family, if a daughter was pregnant without a husband. Is that what happened here, that she was unmarried and pregnant?
“’Abortion storyteller’ sparks fury after claiming termination is an ‘act of self-love’ and says hers was ‘best decision I ever made’ in testimony to the House Oversight Committee on repealing of Roe v Wade”
Abortion storyteller’ sparks fury after claiming termination is an ‘act of self-love’ and says hers was ‘best decision I ever made’ says a cheerleader for the Army of Satan
There, fixed it
Chopping up Khasoggi was an even greater “act of self love” for those who snuffed this older product of conception. I am beginning to warm up to this guilt-crushing philosophy.
Indeed some people have the thrill of the kill in them.

If her parents plan to rely on her for care in the future, they had better watch their backs.
Yup, self-love = narcissism.
It fits.
my family to a T.
Hasn’t Lopez ever heard of birth control? If she chooses to be promiscuous she has lots of legal and cheap options to prevent pregnancy.
I’m not thinking anyone is rejoicing about this story. So, in your view, 10 year old rape victims should have to risk their lives to try to give birth to a baby. Would you want to codify that into the law?
Yes. I'm tired of people trying to make excuses for babykilling.
Why the hell do people want to compound a girl's trauma over being raped with trauma over knowing that SHE KILLED HER BABY???
I believe the sole purpose of overturning
Roe v. Wade was to allow Congress to
pass a bill to allow abortions for any
reason at any time.
It’s the only thing that makes sense in this day and age.
I don’t think Congress was granted the power to legislate for the States about abortion.
