Mikhail Khodorkovsky was once the richest man in Russia until he challenged Vladimir Putin and was sent to jail for 10 years. Now, he has advice for Western leaders trying to deal with his former adversary, telling CBC’s Terence McKenna that a show of strength is key.

Let’s find out then. A Lee Enfield rifle from the Boer War found in your grandfather’s attic that still shoots is junk, but it still shoots.
It appears the one world order isn’t going as planed.
But it’s f@#$ing up everything.
Defense analysts? Do you know how long it takes to train on these weapons to become proficient? Do you know what logistical and supply chain support is needed to keep them operating? Do you think those could be put in place in any relevant time frame, IF they can be provided? Do you understand that the Russians have at least a 10 to 1 advantage in heavy weapons in Ukraine? Do you have an estimate of the attrition of those “game-changing” weapons during transport? (the Russians have air superiority and excellent intelligence; some Ukrainians are selling new weapons on the black market, including heavy weapons). Do you know what our entire stockpile of artillery and similar ordinance is? If not, there is an excellent RUSI paper on the problem. Do you know how many HIMARS systems we have in total and an analysis to indicate that, if we transferred every last one, given the conditions in the Ukraine, they would change the result? Do you know that even General Milley is tired of Ukrainian demands for more weapons? In Brussels on June 15 he pointed out, in response to questions about sending more weapons by a member of the press, that the US/NATO have already sent more anti-tank weapons to the UFA than there are tanks in the entire world. It hasn’t “turned the tide”.
Here’s a news flash: the Biden administration is not sending our most advanced weapons in large numbers to Ukraine because, although they won’t admit it publicly: a. the weapons will not change the situation on the ground, b. large percentages are likely to be destroyed in transit, on the frontlines, or sold, and c. our stockpiles are limited and needed for our own defense.
Repeating assertions by people who are in bed with the Biden administration and NATO is pointless. It’s rather like repeating the lies spread by Fauci, the CDC, and the FDA relating to Covid. Real, objective analysts have asked and answered the questions I’ve put to you and more, and the answers are not comforting to Biden/Neocon trolls.
But the situation speaks for itself. The Russians are methodically, with minimal losses to themselves, destroying what is left of the UFA and taking critical positions. The battle for Seversk is essentially over, and it took very little time. Bakhmut is being enveloped. Slavyansk and Kramatorsk are weakening. By the end of August even Odessa and Kharkov are likely to be in Russian hands. The war enthusiasts here seem to have very little concern for the Ukrainians in the UFA, nor do they realize that that we, not the Russians, are responsible for the disaster in Ukraine. For the paid trolls here, the truth is irrelevant. For the rest, real research and thought are just too much work. It’s easier to parrot Biden/Neocon talking points. We’ve seen the same intellectual laziness with the Covid hoax and the “Russia 2016 election interference/collusion” hoax.
Nuclear weapons require frequent and expensive maintenance in order to stay operational.
Looking at Russian weapons performance so far as a whole, it looks like maintenance of anything has not been a priority
Yes but they don’t give up that’s the real problem.
“Russia is winning!”
No bias there, eh?
I disagree, and for the following reasons:
1.) Ukraine regularly updates its estimates on Russian casualty and equipment losses. As of this date, Russia has lost well north of 36,000 military personnel, and somewhere around 60 percent of its armored vehicles (tanks, personnel carriers, transports, etc.) In fact, the Russians have lost so many of their “modern” tanks that they are reverting to placing mothballed 1970’s era junk on the battlefield.
2.) The Russian forces outnumber Ukrainian forces by at least 3:1, and yet the frontlines are largely at a stalemate. If the Russians were affecting a kill ratio of even 1:1, then there is no way the Ukrainian military could hold them back - and yet they are doing just that. Russian offensives begin, some are successful for a time, but then the Russians “run out of steam,” and cease their forward momentum. That would imply that the Russian military are having a bad time with logistics. No surprise there since the Ukrainians have been purposely and wisely targeting Russian logistical vehicles. In fact, so heavy are the Russians losses of supply trucks, that they have had to resort to commendeering Ukrainian civilian lories.
3.) The newly-introduced M142 HIMARS are striking Russian ammo and fuel dumps deep behind Russian lines, destroying dozens by the day. And the Ukrainians have not just the M777 artillery but the modified M777-A2, which use GPS guided munitions.
Bottom line: the Russians are not “winning” - they are getting their asses handed to them by a much less superior military force. That generally happens when you invade a sovereign country, and its people are willing to fight to the last man to stop the aggression.
Say hi to Putin for me, on your next visit to the Kremlin.
The 'situation speaks for itself' BECAUSE 'the Biden administration is not sending our most advanced weapons in large numbers to Ukraine'.
we, not the Russians, are responsible for the disaster in Ukraine.
BS, Putin invaded.
Exactly. Like most things Russian. They are a miserable people, having very low-level education, low-level skill sets, and low-level ambition - except when it comes to invading their neighbors ... In that they excell.
Historically, “Russians” are an ignorant easily-frightened people, whom have always been led by arrogant, egotistical, narcissistic, manipulative psychopaths.
If you actually study Russian history, you will discover that the “Russians” are mostly white Europeans, who reside west of Caucasus Mountain range that divides Europe from Asia. “Mother Russia” is basically Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Everything west is a mishmash of various ethnic tribes - Mongolians, Chechens, Tartars, etc - peoples whom the “Russian” Czars (a word derived from “Caesar”) concquered over the centuries so to expand their “Empire.”
I gurantee you that, in studying how poorly the Russian military is doing in taking Ukraine (recall this “special military operation” was supposed to require 48 hours to achieve it’s goal of “de-nazification” and de-militarization” of Ukraine. We are now in day 140!) the Chinese are eyeing the eastern most provinces of Russia - territory that originally belonged to the Chinese.
“Historically, “Russians” are an ignorant easily-frightened people, whom have always been led by arrogant, egotistical, narcissistic, manipulative psychopaths.”
Sounds a lot like America today.
Strike “west of” ... Should be “east of” (duh!)
However you feel about Ukraine/Russia, you should first remember, because apparently you’ve forgotten, Russia has more than 6,000 thermo nuclear weapons. Some on subs, some in torpedos, some in bombs, most on missiles. That’s more than all else. More than enough to take out Europe, North America, and Australia, in less than one hour. And there’s nothing we can do if they chose to do it.
That’s why the people that run America and Europe are totally insane, or demon possessed. And I don’t mean the prostitute bought off joke politicians. Everything they have done is to further provoke Russia, leading to our utter destruction.
Madness.
I'm sure you, Xiden, and the gay clown shyster Zelensky have a great time sitting around spinning up tall tales. You all are a pretty creative bunch.
Now I know where all of our great ideas come from:
-Hookers peed on Trump in Moscow
-Trump colluded with the Russians
-Russia stole our election
-There was no fraud in our election
-January 6th was a coup
-Two weeks to flatten the virus curve
-The mandatory vaccines are totally safe and effective
You get the picture.
Russia now controls one-third of the Ukraine territory. Now, if that is not winning, I'm not sure what is!
How about that poor Ukrainian Nazi military. They've been trained by NATO/US for eight years now. Even the clown Zelensky says they number 1,000,000, so I"m not sure who you are getting your Uke propaganda from. They are well trained and motivated for the reason you described (defending territory).
So NATO and the US are throwing everything they've got into the Ukraine proxy war, including over seventy-five billion dollars, after building up to this event for years. If the western military machine is so great, why, pray tell, after all this extensive effort, have they not decimated the rag-tag Russian army with their gee-whiz military might? I'll tell you why. For the same reasons, we totally screwed up Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria. That's why. The LGBTQ woke military needs a wake-up call. Their track record is pretty dismal.
Russia has deployed about 10% of its military into Ukraine so far. On top of that, they have not launched a total war. This is a surgical procedure for them to spare the citizens and infrastructure from decimation for when they take over. The Ukes should hope they don't make it a war!
For Russia's small force, they are losing real good. See the map below. It shows what losing really looks like.
https://liveuamap.com/
If you believe Ukraine is winning while losing one-third of its territory, then you are just delusional/nuts.
As I said previous - Give Putin a kiss the next time you’re in the Kremlin.
You have a exaggerated sense of proportion if you think the contested area on that map is equivelent to “1/3” of the Ukrainian land mass. 20 percent, at best. The rest of your claims are 100% bullsh*t - exactly what I would expect from a Russian ass kisser.
Agreed ... But just to point out a grammatical error in your statement: “... and are incapable of none of them.” That portion of your sentence is a double negative. If he is “incapable of none,” then he must be capable of all.
Trying getting out of your echo chamber..assuming you aren’t a troll.

This, including the video, are probably far too detailed for you, but the intellectually curious may go through it carefully:

I know. Anything that isn’t from a Neocon source is “Russian propaganda”. The truth is, though, that there are many independent sources. None of them are infallible, but they are closer to reality than anything the MSM writes or broadcasts, which are basically transcriptions of Neocon talking points.
Meditate on this: Serbian President Vucic: “I know what awaits us. As soon as Vladimir Putin has done his work in Seversk, Bakhmut and Soledar, after reaching the second line Slaviansk-Kramatorsk-Avdeevka, he will come up with a proposal. And if they [the West] don’t accept it, – and they won’t – all hell will break loose.”
It’s a forecast - and Vucic isn’t an oracle - but he knows more and has more at stake than, say, WAPO, Newsweek, NYT, Karine Jean-Pierre, etc. We will see. It won’t be long because Seversk and Soledar are reported as mostly taken. IF the Russians make a peace proposal, it should be accepted.
Oh, and stop with the childish “Putin invaded”. That’s about 1% of the story.
It’s obvious you don’t know much about today’s Russian technology. To pick just one category, how many hypersonic missiles do we have? What defenses do we have against them? Do the Russians have battlefield tested hypersonics? What are the strategic consequences for the West? What are the consequences for our carrier battle groups?
This is so bad it’s obviously the work of a troll.
