As I sit in Manhattan typing this, it’s amazing how the “straight” guys here are often less manly than the gays, especially the under 35s.
I saw an interesting comment from a Zoomer recently that “Everyone knows by looking at high school yearbooks from the 80s that people used to look much older than their age.”
It occurred to me that from their perspective that was a correct observation, because boys often grew full beards from their early high school years. This, however, I presume to come from testosterone levels being a fraction of what they were 40 or 50 years ago.
The Zoomer simply doesn’t have the awareness that that’s the factor at stake.
