Even after the Uvalde school shooter launched a second burst of gunfire inside a fourth-grade classroom, police officers still didn’t try to stop him, video reveals.
Salvador Ramos, 18, entered a Robb Elementary School classroom on May 24 and unleashed more than 100 bullets inside the classroom before cops even arrived, video obtained Tuesday by the Austin American-Statesman showed.
The first responding officers approached the classroom just three minutes later. Ramos fought them off with a short burst, sending the few officers on the scene scrambling in retreat.
Then, they waited. And waited. And waited. More than half an hour later, even after multiple children inside the classroom called 911 and begged for help, the heavily armed cops were seen still standing in the hallway.
At 12:21, 48 minutes after entering the building, Ramos fired four more gunshots. Several cops responded by approaching the classroom door. But they didn’t enter.
Nine more minutes elapsed, and the cops continued doing nothing. One was bored enough to get some hand sanitizer from a wall-mounted dispenser in the school, video shows.
Finally, 77 minutes after Ramos entered the building, the cops launched a chaotic, Border Patrol-led breach of the classroom and fatally shot the teen

I’m sure glad those stupid fakerepublicans helped libtards pass guns laws to prevent this kind of incompetency from ever occurring again 🤪
They have neither a soul nor testicles, not a damn one of them.
Is this to be expected when cops are at an active crime scene? Usually they show up after crimes occur. That gives me my operating principle to expect to defend myself and my number one reason for owning firearms.
More pussies on that scene than in a lesbian-run French animal shelter. Every one of them should eat their gun.
*sanitizer.
They did nothing because they were told not to.
Is it just me or does anyone might think it possible that the police were ordered not to go in, say, to create a narrative for more gun control?
They had shields and everything there. Of course they could have acted; a border patrol agent with a borrowed shotgun did even though the police tried to stop him.
There is really no evidence that favors the Uvalde police. Their chief needs to Do The Right Thing, and the entire department needs retraining.
Other departments need to examine the incident second by second as an example of “What Not To Do.”
They should all be fired. For cause. And no pension.
These ‘officers’ owe the city a bunch of money for not doing their jobs and they should be made to pay back every penny.
They might as well have just had coffee and donuts while they listened to the slaughter. Sickening.
And no one has yet been held accountable for the fiasco.....
Cowardice was overwhelmed by indifference to the suffering of children.
Yes, this is standard operating procedure.
I don’t think so.
I think this is an example of lack of initiative on the part of the cops and piss poor leadership.
The cops should have taken shots when he was outside the school without bothering to ask for permission. Inside the school they should have said “EFF It Drive On” and assaulted the classroom, again without asking permission. I would have sent teams to shoot Ramos from outside the classroom windows as well.
The police chief, Pete Arredondo, who couldn’t be bothered to wear his radios, seems to have gotten it into his mind that this was a barricaded suspect / hostage situation rather than a WOUNDED VICTIMS ARE BLEEDING OUT RIGHT THIS SECOND GO GO GO situation and that he could take his time. I also tend to blame the cops’ lack of initiative on the chief as well. I suspect he was the micromanaging sort.
This makes a lot more sense than the conspiracy against the Second Amendment. But it’s not impossible as “Fast and Furious” proved.
Arredondo needs to be encouraged to Do The Right Thing, which involves a bottle of liquor, a pistol, and one bullet.

When your law enforcement is TOO COWARDLY to do its job, blame the BILL OF RIGHTS, THE NRA AND ITS MEMBERS.
