They should have compared this Webb image to the equivalent Hubble image because from the looks of it, it could easily be a Hubble image. What’s obviously “better” about it?
It’s not colorized in photoshop. The light from galaxies here are so red shifted by the universe’s expansion that by the time they reach us they are in infrared. So the wavelengths must be shortened, but that is required in all the JWST pictures.

Right. Hubby’s avocation is astrophotography. (He’s setting up for a session right now.) The serious groups constantly criticize NASA for their blatant colorizing and enhancing the images. They’re not even close to actual.
