The strike will feature staggered vertical and horizontal overlapping hits continent-wide with each staggered further by ground and air bursts.

This will create a continent-wide fire storm, burning off all or most vegetation and incinerating a sizable portion of the population.

The handful remaining will die horribly of radiation poisoning, if not from 2nd and 3rd degree infected burns.

Very doubtful if any one will get the chance to die from starvation.

Are you in a western state? It's impossible to start a forest fire in most parts of many of the states east of Kansas. ;D
