Just as we always suspected.
If we had protected the vulnerable, and let healthy adults and children catch it, the whole thing would have came and worn itself out through herd immunity in 2020
Just a nitpik
There is no such thing as “herd immunity” as there is no immunity provided. The concept should be called “lower exposure” or some other term. All it takes is a person, outside of the community who is a carrier, to enter the community and the “herd immunity” goes out the window. The first medical journal use of the term was back in 1923 when there was little contact between communities. This is no longer the case.
Our borders are open and people can easily move between countries, states, counties and cities.
Continuing proof, as if it were needed, that CoupFlu policy has NEVER been about protecting public health.
The majority who get covid rarely get severe covid. So not sure what this really shows.
The Omicron variant is the vaccine, the natural vaccine. Just like chickenpox when we were kids. The original Covid was nasty but not near as nasty as we were led to believe. Data coming out on the MRNA shots, it is not a vaccine is nasty.
I took the first two Pfizer shots. In retrospect if I knew what I know now, I would not have taken them though I was in a high risk group due to age, 73 at the time. I have declined any boosters. My wife took the booster. We both came down with Omicron a few months later. It was mild, like a not severe case of the flu. Due to the Omicron infection we both now have very robust immunity to Covid.
