Just a nitpik
There is no such thing as “herd immunity” as there is no immunity provided. The concept should be called “lower exposure” or some other term. All it takes is a person, outside of the community who is a carrier, to enter the community and the “herd immunity” goes out the window. The first medical journal use of the term was back in 1923 when there was little contact between communities. This is no longer the case.
Our borders are open and people can easily move between countries, states, counties and cities.
Just to nitpick your interpretation of Herd Immunity being applied uniformly to We the Useless Eater Humans. Immunity is 100% individual and determined by a variety of factors including heredity/genetics, lifestyle choices, environment, along with invasive medical therapeutics that break the protective blood barrier such as vaccines and other toxic drugs over a lifetime starting at birth. Humanity would have been long gone if we were as fragile as Liar Fauci declared in 2020.
The so-called severe SARS/COVID19 is Pneumonia, which has multiple causes including toxic pollution exposure. People can and do die from pneumonia. Could those who died from “SARS/COVID19” Pneumonia been treated more successfully if the approved treatment protocol allowed more than Ventilators and Remsdevir? Undoubtedly according to many doctors who didn’t sell their souls. Now the Unapproved Covid Jabs are finishing off the ones with the weakened immmune systems. Deaf ears for Fauci and his BigPharma/Media partners in crime. This whole Fearmongering ploy is about to kick in again with another Magic Killer Cootie to push the remaining Jab Hesitants off the Cliff one way or the other
“There is no such thing as “herd immunity” “
Actually you are correct and incorrect. Dependent on how infectious the disease is. If not highly infectious you need a certain amount of infected to keep spreading the infection or it dies out. If enough of the population has been infected and now have immunity that level falls and the disease ceases to spread. In the case of Omicron which is mild but extremely infectious you are correct. Due to the fact that Omicron is extremely infectious we will soon have herd immunity to this also. Fortunately it is mild. A successful virus does not kill its host. Its natural evolution is to become more infectious but less fatal thus it spreads.
Ebola is the exception. It kills almost always, quickly and thus limits its own spread. It is an unsuccessful virus. Quarantine works very well to stop the spread of Ebola.
Oddly HIV is a uniquely successful virus. You get it and do not know you have it and spread it for years. Eventually without modern medical intervention, it kills you.
