Philly Mayor Says Only Police Should Have Guns
This is why many politicians don't like to speak off the cuff because when in doubt about what to say, they tell you the truth.
The Philadelphia Mayor, Jim Kenney, just told the truth about how he feels about guns.
"I was in Canada two weeks ago and never thought about a gun," he said. "The only people I knew who had guns in Canada were police officers."
"That's the way it should be here"
He only wants the police to have guns!
How is that not about control?
For crying out loud, his example of the perfect country is Canada, where they just banned the sale of handguns, and according to him, only the police have guns!
I don't know where he got that; it's not true.
If the police and criminals are the only people with guns, that means the citizens have to rely solely on the police for their protection, and even if we want to, we can't depend on the police.
Even if the criminals didn't have guns, do you think that would stop them from killing people?
When your life is in someone else's hands, that person controls you, and that's exactly what he wants: control.
Look how well that turned out in Nazi Germany, the old Soviet Union and Red China. The Philly Mayor needs to go choke on a sandwich.
Jim Kenney is a Demonicrat and the mayor of Philadelphia.
Those are two reasons not to believe anything he says.

I don't know how much television you watch but if you turn it off for a month, you'll be surprised at how much it was serving as soma to get you by, especially in a place like New York City.
Actually....All citizens being convicted felons and having the subsequent rights of a felon is exactly what the leftists want. Except for them of course.

The Mayor must have a plan to convince criminals to give up their guns. Would like to hear it.

Isn’t James Kenny the same mayor that recently said that he can’t wait for his term to end because he wants out? Perhaps he realizes he has created a monster that he can no longer control.

If no one has guns, they why would the police need them?
