A Tennessee restaurant is 'snipping' their prices by offering diners a free milkshake if they can hand over proof of vasectomy – and it's bringing all the 'boys to the yard.'
Daddy's Dogs, a hot dog restaurant in Nashville, Tennessee, put a sign up advertising their 'Snip for Shake Deal' throughout the month of July and some diners wondered whether it was a joke.
'Putting it in writing for those who still don't think it's real,' restaurant owner Sean Porter - who is also known as 'Dr. Big Daddy' - wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the sign.
'Dr. Big Daddy' announced the deal to the restaurant social media and said: 'The world's a pretty crazy place right now,' and added he has 'a way to make it just a little bit better.'
The restaurant owner who was snipped years ago added: 'Just bring in a note from your doctor saying you got the snip, and we'll give you any milkshake you want.'
The unusual deal comes in the wake of the June 24 Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 decision that protected abortion rights at the federal level.
In 2019 Tennessee passed a so-called 'trigger' ban on abortions that is expected to soon take effect now that Roe has been struck down.
Since the SCOTUS decision, urologists have noted that there have been an increase of men inquiring about vasectomies.
Dr. Joseph Pazona, a local urologist in Nashville has said he's received an influx of calls from men interested in the procedure.
