I wouldn’t have cooperated either in this situation. I would have told the Officer to get the employee that made the accusation and make them Formally Accuse me of a Crime in front of the Officer, then I would have produced the receipt and Demanded he immediately ARREST the employee for making a False Police report.

No one has to prove their innocence in this country. It was on Publix to show proof of a crime, like video evidence for example, barring that it's their word against the customers.
