There are historical downsides—economic, cultural, social, and military—to nations that shun child-raising.
Help wanted” and “Now hiring” signs are everywhere. Flights, construction projects, and healthcare services are delayed—or unavailable—due to labor shortages.
Hourly and monthly wages spiral. There is a growing disequilibrium between the number of available jobs and the declining pool of workers needed to fill them.

You certainly don’t want leftist teachers to have any part in raising children.

It’s called the Great Replacement, folks.
The global elites, who worship satan (see Georgia guidestones) want you replaced with non-Christians, and non-whites (who do not have a heritage of freedom and democracy and belief in God-given rights). Oh, and they want to kill most of us off to “save the earth” which they also worship instead of the Creator. Everything they do is designed to tear society apart so they can rebuild it in their image. (Destruction of families, divorce, gay marriage, tranny propaganda, open borders, “diversity” which casuses chaos and divides and conquers, abortion, etc. The list of their evil deeds is endless.
Amen. I choose not to send my youngest to public school. We made the monetary sacrifice and she is in Catholic School and I cannot be happier about the decision.
Agreed and woke white women are doing their part by having their tubes tied and murderering their living children.
“Life apparently is seen as too enjoyable to invest years in raising children.”
Author should actually talk to some 20 and 30 year olds. Completely out of touch with the concerns of that demographic.
The Divorce/Family Court/Law industry in western society is largely to blame for this as well.
What sane man wants to have children knowing that the mother can just take his wallet and children never to be seen again on a whim. Divorce Inc. is fully backed by the government.
There is no such thing as a labor shortage there is only a wage shortage.

Alec Baldwin has disappeared!
From Professor Hanson, on the Disappearing American:
The 2012 Obamacare ad, “The Life of Julia,” fixated on the new ideal American woman: a single parent of one child, unmarried, and utterly reliant on nearly 65 years of government support.
The 2013 follow-up bookend ad fetishized “Pajama Boy.” He was supposed to be a typical prolonged-adolescent, man-child—sitting at home in his child-like footie pajamas, sipping hot chocolate.
“Pajama Boy” was likely the sort that “Julia” had no intention of marrying.

Please let me know if you want on or off this new VDH ping list.
I think a lot of people changed fields. Who wants to work at a restaurant or any other “non-essential” job? Some just haven’t bothered going back to work for the same reason. They may have worked the same job for years and suddenly the government shuts the business down and it never opens again. Imagine having started washing dishes and working your way up to manager or head chef and then poof. Sorry about your luck.
For those of you who maybe haven’t seen it yet, I refer you to Hebrews 11:6’s post this morning.
We seem to going the way of the Israelites who lost their way spiritually and began building false idols and sacrificing our young to them.
The ultimate false idol seems to be the Earth itself.
You certainly don’t want leftist teachers to have any part in raising children.

No rational parent would want that, but there’s a couple of problems: (1) millions of parents are stupid and/or irrational and/or just don’t give a damn; or (2) millions of parents actually have no viable alternative because they haven’t the skills to home school and they cannot afford private schools.
You can add me to your ping list!👍
