“While Brad has not been formally diagnosed with the condition...”
Funny that you want people to take your condition seriously but you don’t take it seriously enough yourself to go see a doctor.
I've come to the conclusion that doctors are good for many things but diagnosing a mysterious condition ... well, not so much.
My wife started having severely cold hands and feet. Icy. She went to the internet and would diagnose herself with various diseases and autoimmune conditions and go to world class doctors at places like Johns Hopkins to see if it was right. Every single time they would says "well, yes, it sounds like it is". Eventually she would decide it wasn't quite right and so she'd do more research, pick another disease and the cycle would go around again. She was thus "confirmed" by expert doctors to have several different diseases that she did not have. Eventually after years of this one of them actually figured out she had a serious vitamin B deficiency. Some supplements, problem solved. She also did have an autoimmune condition but for once it was one she didn't know about and finally, after years and multiple experts, a doctor took the effort to try to figure it out and got it right.
But my respect for doctors dropped a lot. I never tell a doctor what I think I might have, I've learned they will just say "if you say so then yes, that's what you have". I want them to do the work.
