Saw him in the mid 70s playing to a stadium full of people. Surprised to hear he is still performing.

Wow. Prayers for Carlos and hope he is ok. First saw him in 1969 before his first album was released. It was essentially the Woodstock Santana band.

Take a rest, Carlos. You won’t ever be forgotten.
He remains as ambitious as Eric Clapton does.
Carlos will celebrate his next Birthday (cumpleanos) in about 2 weeks on July 20th.

He was performing his new song “Joy” when he went down.

News guy in one of the clips identified Santana as singer.
Geez.
Anyway, I've seen Carlos many times and think he's one of the best guitar players.
And that's regardless of his politics.
I hope he's well.

Drove past his house in Hanalei a couple days ago. If he needs to recuperate, he's got an amazingly beautiful place to do so. Here's the view.

I was a steward for the local stagehands for a concert he performed at in San Antonio years ago. He came back stage and introduced himself and shook hands with all the workers present. He sat and chatted with us for about ten minutes before he entered the ramp up the stage to perform.
He's a total class act.

I’ve just been listening the crap out of this, my favorite Santana tune -

Playing for Change - prayers for Carlos recovery, he’s one of the good guys. By they way, Tito Puente’s son is playing timbales in this video.
