A relative, the other day, posted how many days are left ‘til Christmas .... she was excited .... me, not so much.

Buying presents is not an option for me (by choice) - I started making all my Christmas presents back in 2013 or 2014. The last couple of years, I gave homemade canned items (Salsa, Jalapeno Pepper Jelly, Blackberry Merlot Wine Jelly, mason jars packed with ingredients in them for cookies, brownies, etc. ... last year, some homemade Ghee as well). Two of my nieces got presents last year (I dropped a few people - long story) & I am looking for something I can make them that will be useful for this Christmas.

Today, I think I found what I’m going to do. These items are something I need for myself as well. I have plenty of stashed/scrap cotton yarn in attractive colors that would work well, too. So here’s the idea:

Crochet Pan Protectors Pattern (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large)

Looked around at several patterns for these & this is a very simple one. There may be something I like better after more looking around, but the idea is one I like a lot. I suspect there will be another ‘yard sale’ at church this fall - using up some scrap yarn to make a few sets to sell might also happen.

I like that idea!

About a decade ago, my immediate family decided, ‘No More Stuff’ so whatever we give for Birthdays and Christmas must be ‘consumable.’ We also count books in there, as we’re all avid readers, we all love Murder Mysteries or Historical Fiction and we pass the books on to each other, anyway. ;)

My go-to is crocheted dish cloths with ‘fancy’ dish soap or a crocheted washcloth with higher end soap or body wash.
