The Capitol Fourth presentation was wonderful - I was in tears hearing the singing of patriotic songs I learned in grade school. I’m glad to hear that. Relieved to see that it hasn’t been corrupted by the swamp creatures.
When I was a teenager, we’d go to the Mall in DC to see Chicago and the Beach Boys and then there’d be a spectacular fireworks display over the Potomac.
I’m watching the Freedom Over Texas show in Houston. Also patriotic and upbeat. Some country music, some rock music and the fireworks will be starting soon.
We Americans are still out here. We just don’t get the media attention the warped left does.

We used to go down to the St. Louis riverfront for fireworks, aerial flybys from nearby Scott AFB, and firework displays that were dramatic. And the entertainment! Watched the Beach Boys, Dianna Ross and Ray Charles —his rendition of “America the Beautiful” had a crowd of 1/2 million on their feet and cheering. Good times!

It was very nice, and I’m sure it resonated with lots of Americans.
