Was the criminal hit 60 times or did the cops fire 60 shots during their pursuit? Both is another possibility, but would be suspicious...

I heard this morning that the coroner counted 60 bullet holes. I assume some of them came from the same bullet, so it’s likely that he was actually hit with fewer than 60 bullets. Still ... a lot. He probably should have been quicker to obey the officers’ orders.

He led them on a high speed chase, shot at police, twice, I think, then jumped out of the passenger door, wearing a ski mask.

A number of officers were chasing him, on foot.

They shot a tazer at him, but it failed.

He turned back towards the police and started to raise his right hand, when a number of officers fired at the same time.
