Have sent to numerous friends and family, some of whom I know had root canals.
The points about wisdom teeth extraction compels me to ask my dentist to look closely for cavitation at those four sites. I’m healthy, but certainly worth the closer examination

I would never get a wisdom tooth yanked, let alone a root canal. I have basically avoided dentists since the one who put a filling in one wisdom tooth left the practice. His replacement, who I went to see after said filling fell out, took one look and exclaimed, “No, I’m not going to refill it, and you should never have kept your wisdom teeth in the first place! Here is a referral for an oral surgeon.” She then proceeded to tell me I had gum disease, because they were bleeeding - well, yeah, after she’d finished scraping around up to and including them, never before. I couldn’t get out of the place fast enough. I’ve decided to just keep the hole in the tooth and keep it free of food particles by carefully picking it out after meals. That was 10 years ago, and it hasn’t bothered me yet...
Hubby has bad teeth (must’ve had over $30K worth of dental work since we’ve been married), and numerous root canals. He will refuse to read or watch anything negative about them, because he trusts his dentist. Sigh. He will not even try my homemade toothpaste, because it’s not what his dentist prescribed, and (the horror!) because it doesn’t contain fluoride, which he’s convinced is necessary.
