The not so funny part about this is that unlike some country in the Middle East, these types of games can wind up killing a lot of Americans for something in which there is no national interest.
National interest does not equal money laundering opportunities for politicians, in case that has to be pointed out.

Not so funny because it’s too close to the truth. Everyone who wanted to help Ukraine with our tax dollars can go fock yourselves. You still have not identified any national interests in Ukraine. You are all a bunch of morons. Just take a look at the GDP figures today, -2.1% for Q2. Wasting money on the 3rd most corrupt country in the world, contributed to that. Just wait until unemployment sky rockets.

Pretty much what happened with Afghanistan: it went from a just war to a rent-seek-a-rama for the Defense Department and associated defense contractors. It was a horrible way to treat the great people who fought over there for us.
