The United States Has Become Two Countries Within a Nation
American Thinker ^ | 1 Jul, 2022 | Steve McCann

We as a nation are at that defining moment when one side has to win and the other lose; there is no middle ground.

Not since the decade leading up to the Civil War has there been as much discussion about the possibility of the United States splitting into two or more countries as there has been in the past 10 years. The reality is that this nation has effectively split into two countries which are, for the moment, tenuously living side-by-side.

Race or ethnicity has been the underlying foundation in the creation of every nation in the history of mankind except the United States, as its founding was based on the tenet that all men are created equal and are endowed with certain unalienable rights that government cannot abrogate. As it does not have the cohesive factors of race or ethnicity, this nation as constituted can only survive based on the goodness of its people and the wisdom and integrity of its ruling class.

Ben Franklin at the close of the Constitutional Convention in 1787 in a speech to his fellow members of the convention said of the newly drafted Constitution and the government it created:

…and there is no form of Government but what may be a blessing to the people if well administered, and [I] believe farther that this is likely to be well administered for a course of years, and can only end in Despotism, as other forms have done before it…

Ben Franklin’s prescient forewarning has come to pass. Over the past thirty-years, a plurality of ill-educated and malleable citizens have allowed the self-serving, decadent and nescient ruling class, in alliance with the radical left, to establish near-permanent despotism in the United States. They have deliberately and inexorably widened the gulf between the people

It needs to start from the bottom up. School boards and a good sheriff should be #1 priority because the schools are creating the next generations and the sheriff is the most powerful LEO in their county as proved by sheriff Mack and the US supreme court.

Next would be any city position, then county and we need to get our state governments straightened out. All state government pols should believe fully in the 10th amendment.

Here’s the tough one. States need to get off the fedgov teat.

Fiber optic lines are being run in my area. They’ve run it to most houses out to the big junction boxes that have their own electric meter. I asked when they would be running it down the highway to town. They said they’re waiting on a fedgov grant. Meanwhile, we have decent DSL service already and don’t really need fiber optic. Most people around here don’t even have computers.

Fedgov seems bent on getting every person high speed internet access. Wonder what the plan is there?

EDU is a big problem. Everyone pays property taxes that are supposed to be for schools. Schools get a lot of fedgov money too yet parents have to buy school supplies every year. Get rid of some of the administrative positions and buy some damn pencils, paper and kleenex. Yes, we were asked to buy kleenex when our kids were in school.

Mike Flynn’s re-awaken tour is an effort to get Christians talking about and involved in their local politics and is a good effort.

Most people where I live wouldn’t have a clue how to even turn on a computer.

The United States is not so much united anymore.
We're the “diverse” tribes of North America now.

**********

Pretty much been divided from when it was formed and
even before. Just look at the gov’t at the beginning and
it was segregated by race, gender, wealth, etc. etc.

Natives were rounded up and put on reservations. The rulers
went to Africa and brought in the people to become slaves of
their desires/work/needs/etc. Now the other nations across the
world are coming here for a chance at a better life. The USA
has been a successful Nation but the question is .....
Can we keep it or is it about to become the nation of the
Wealthy Rulers and commoners are the SLAVES.

Coexisting with the left is an intolerable condition.

**************

The Right wants liberty and freedom.

The Left wants power and control.

There is simply no way to bridge that divide.

Its basically that simple, really.

It took decades to get where we are. It’s going to take decades to reverse it. A lot of RINOs are being replaced this year, some with more RINOs but some with America First types. We just have to keep replacing RINOs until we have a pro American GOP. McConnell and Graham need to go.

The inner party itself, from local precinct committeeman up to Ronna ROMNEY McDaniels needs to go. That’s done using the Precinct Strategy method.

.."Same old “leadership”. Same old excuses. Same old appeasers."

I hear ya', but that too is changing. 1/8th of the house seats will be rookies next term.

Add a bold DjT or Ron DeSantis to lead the charge.

The constant pursuit of democracy by the left has brought us to Madison’s nightmare of factionalism. The Republic is being suffocated, and it can only be saved by a period of pain sufficient to stimulate some commonsense in a predominantly materialistic, pleasure seeking nation. And that’s iffy...

“The split is in every case that I see is between morality and immorality.”

YES! Wasn’t it John Adams who said...paraphrasing..the Constitution would survive only if the population were moral?

It is because the left cannot abide by the Constitution.

The left does not believe in the Constitution, hence they cannot and will not abide.

Oh I am prepared. I don’t expect anything different. One of our Senators is Rubio and I haven’t seen or heard him do much of anything the last couple of years. He sends some of his staff around the state every once in a while and tell us to go meet them and let them know how he can help us...yeah right! They never get close enough to where we live that I would spend the gas for. He is the same old same old tired RINO acting like he’s done great things for our state. I will not be voting for him.

I guess you’re idea of a loser is someone who gave us a great economy, kept us out of wars, and effectively stopped the invasion of illegals into our country.

Too bad that Trump didn’t live up to your high standards.

The GOP is literally infested with useless RINOs.

Its a party of whiners, not winners.

The two things are not mutually exclusive. Most of the shallow people we elect have no morals AND no principles.

That just means that the RNC has a lot of work ahead of it trying to flip all those newly elected people into obedient RINOs. ;)

This is the RNC’s fundamental role. Trust me on this.

How about the past ONE year?

The sooner the better, before there is nothing left to save.

“Even at the founding, the southern planters, mid-Atlantic merchants, and New England farmers and traders that were represented in Philadelphia each had their own social outlooks and priorities, not to mentions the slaves, indentured servants, frontiersmen and other underclass immigrant not represented”

That’s the case everywhere. A country’s politics is nothing more than a tug of war among various interest groups. It’s true here and every other country - and it’s always the case.

And this country has been remarkably stable compared to others. Look how the political maps of the world have changed over the last couple hundred years. In comparison the US has been a paradigm of stability.

What has held the country together has been a strong sense of patriotism and belief in the shared values enshrined in the constitution.

Sadly that is being purposefully eroded today. Striving for the melting pot of shared values today is considered racist. It’s “diversity” and multiculturalism , ie differences, that are being promoted, celebrated, and shoved down everybody’s throat.

A country cannot survive as one when you have large groups of people with diametrically opposed values.

Sadly that’s where we are today, but it wasn’t so for most of the country’s history.
