DISNEY-owned Marvel Comics is set to debut its first openly gay Spider-Man, with effeminate characteristics, dressed in lace, in an upcoming book due out in September.
The comic book company first informed fans of its plans with a June 16 solicitation, that described the new character as, “WEB-WEAVER: A not-so-mild mannered fashion designer at Van Dyne gets spider-powers and shows us a very different kind of Spider-Slayer,” according to Comic Book Resources.
But that is not the only notice revealed by company employees. Writer Steve Foxe also noted that he has the “huge gay honor” to introduce the first gay Spider–Man.
“SURPRISE: I had the huge gay honor of helping to co-create WEB-WEAVER, who’ll make his debut in EDGE OF THE SPIDER-VERSE #5 this September!” Foxe wrote.
Foxe added in another tweet that he didn’t make his new gay character representative of “ALL gay men.” And according to the frilly, lacy costume and the stereotypical pose in the character reveal, it appears that Web-Weaver will represent an effeminate version of homosexuality.

I’ll point out again that Marvel Comics is owned by Marvel is owned by DISNEY (which also owns ABC, ESPN and FoxNews) and has massive contracts with China and all of this is a communist plot to disrupt the USA.
Isn’t the whole reason to sell stuff is to make a profit?
Can’t imagine there’s many teenagers waiting with bated breath for the next issue of gay spiderman rescuing gender fluid victims from...cis white Christian males who threaten to misuse the wrong pronoun.
Yeah, I’m old but remember buying comics during the seventies but grew out of it and discovered girls and care.
It’s hardly grooming. The target audience these days are grown. The days of eight year olds picking up comics at the corner store are long gone. If they run into this character it’ll be in a game or animation.

I won’t be reading, watching, etc.
Anything you subscribe to re: Disney and the like - cancel it, do not go to their theme parks, etc. Do not fund our own demise. This isn’t a “boycott”, per se - just eliminate from your life. If Disney and other woke companies like this disappeared it certainly would not be the end of the world.
In less than one hour it will be July on the east coast. Pride month will soon be over. Can we get a break for at least a while from talking about our genitals?
