TOKYO -- A guitar that once belonged to legendary rocker Randy Bachman, a former member of the Canadian rock band The Guess Who, that was stolen 45 years ago in Toronto while he was on tour has been found in Japan. The rock star is now in Tokyo to retrieve his lost love after a Japanese musician who had bought the guitar at a vintage shop agreed to give it back to its rightful owner.

A friend was doing his LDS mission and got invited to Bachman’s house. He has a few guitars,
Joe Perry is one of my faves. It doesn’t hurt that he’s a conservative.
“The second was Uriah Heep.”
Ah! Now that I have read that I will have to dig out my old albums and cds. Afterall, today is almost a July Morning! My favorite band during my teens.
Good to hear. It’s amazing they still play early Aerosmith songs on the radio that i wore out my 8 track tapes to in highschool.
My first concert “The Guess Who” in Anaheim 1972. Saw “BTO” in Spokane in 1974. Both great shows!
That’s why he and Tyler are at odds against each other. Go to the archives for the Boston Herald or Globe, and there’s an interview of him coming out as a Republican because he didnt believe in leftism. Circa Romney era..
Frampton’s 1954 Gibson Custom thought destroyed in a Cargo Plane crash in South America returned 31 years later.
Wow. I did not know that. Didn’t Tyler try to fire their drummer too?
Honor and integrity are wonderful concepts.

Yeah. I think Aerosmith is the only rock band that I brought my GF(s) and actually sat down. Like a civilized, domesticated person (lol). I normally dont as I prefer to stand up and /either go into the mosh pit..
That was awesome. Thanks for posting it!
no savage in max that day i see
Got to see him live soon after Gibson took it and touched it up.
Cute story!
Saw a Randy Bachman interview back in the day when his son’s song went into the Stratosphere.
He said he knew it was a massive hit when he was in a little grocery store in Zermatt Switzerland and it was playing on the radio.
I happen to think Aerosmith is the greatest AMERICAN rock band when you consider body of work, longevity and number of hit records. Not my personal favorite, but I think they are the best overall.
Yes, they are the greatest American rock band of all time. Probably second to Metallica..
