NEW YORK -- Donald Trump is no longer in contempt of court, a New York judge ruled Wednesday.
Judge Arthur Engoron, who declared the former president in contempt on April 25 for being slow to respond to a civil subpoena issued by New York’s attorney general, said he has now met conditions required to lift the sanction following a protracted legal battle.
Trump last month paid $110,000 in fines he racked up as a result of the contempt finding. The money, paid directly to Attorney General Letitia James’ office, will continue to be held in an escrow account while Trump appeals the original contempt finding, Engoron said Wednesday.
Trump and his two oldest children, Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr., are scheduled to testify under oath in James' investigation starting July 15 after the state’s highest court rejected his last-ditch attempt to avoid a subpoena.
“Although we are pleased that the court has lifted the contempt finding, we maintain that it was wholly unwarranted and improper in the first place,” Trump lawyer Alina Habba said. “We will push ahead with our appeal to secure justice for our client.”
A message seeking comment was left with James’ office.
The attorney general asked Engoron to find Trump in contempt of court after he failed to produce any documents to satisfy a March 31 deadline to meet the terms of her subpoena. Engoron fined Trump $10,000 per day for not complying but stopped the fine from accruing in early May, when it appeared a resolution to the dispute was near.

I didn’t realize this, but I was talking to my brother the other day who told me: They have been after Trump since when he first announced he was running - June of 2015!!! That is SEVEN years ago to the month! Seven years they’ve been harassing him and these bastards are still doing it. Time speeds by doesn’t it.
When the Republicans take over Congress, they should hold hearings and investigate Attorney General Letitia James.

If trying accomplishes that then it's not a frustrating failure, imo. But not being held liable tells them to keep at it, always escalate a bit.. try harder.

It’s unbelievable isn’t it. Democrat voters need to start questioning why the party they support are after Trump so much.
Do they really believe the Democratic party is concerned about the country? Then why do they support wide open borders? Why do they want to defund the police? Why do they support no bail laws?
Sounds to me they are more concerned about Trump because he is a patriot and supports law and order which they see as a threat but of course that is never written about in the media.

All these fabrications and mendacious machinations prove that Trump is indeed the great president he promised to be and showed that was. He is smart, moral, a fabulous deal maker, and able to juggle many, many projects at the same time and has the big picture and the long term goals in mind. He hit the ground running and ran circles around everyone else. The Marxist Left and their lemming followers were green with envy and remain so. No matter what they still will do, no matter what, Donald Trump will go down in history as one of the greatest, if not the very greatest president in U.S. history.
They go after Trump constantly but don’t go near the true hoodlums, the Clintons and the Bidens, do they? The Democrats are full of dirt and sleaze, but that’s just fine.

- All stored/retrievable voice mail messages 2 years before 1/6/2021 until 350 days after.
-Bank records (checking, savings, C/D’s)
- credit bureau reports.
- all social media, chat archives.
Some might argue that there is no legitimate legislative function for such a dredge. And they would be right, except for the precedent set in the Democrat’s conduct of the 1/6 investigation so far.
I would investigate the investigators, the witnesses, all of the parties above following the same technique as the Democrats have taken to date.

With Kevin McCuckthy and Mitch McCuckold as majority leaders if Republicans take over the house and senate, do we expect them to do anything? They will posture and bloviate but they won’t do a damned thing.
