Rep. Mike Johnson warned that Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin's vaccine mandate is "causing major damage" to America's Armed Forces.

With the deadline to comply fast approaching, Johnson has called attention to the consequences enforcement of the mandate might have.

"@SecDef's COVID vaccine mandate is causing major damage to the readiness of our Armed Forces," he wrote on Twitter, "particularly our Army."

Nearly 13 percent of the National Guard has not yet been vaccinated, with that number rising to between 20 and 30 percent in some states. Around 10 percent of Army Reserve forces have also not yet gotten the jab.

I believe in a huge Navy and big USMC that is mostly forward deployed outside of CONUS. The Army IMO sucks sh!t. Let it go away...

Thanks. My IRR was done in 2009.
In 2004 the USAF was doing “force projection” restructuring, as I’m sure you recall.
I think they wanted a bunch of SF, PJ, and CCT troops.
They even weakened the PAST test for PJ’s and CCT’s.

Yes, but it is still changing IR time to active. The distinction is that the change is effectuated before leaving active service.

The damage may be permanent. The Pfascists in government showed their hand.

Who would start down a path in government employment, only to run the risk that the government would issue illegal diktats forcing you to take part in medical experiments or lose your career?

The government employment "work now - reward later" model is too risky.

The trust is gone.

IDK Central. The Army of today is a very different animal than it was decades ago. Enlistees were essentially “cannon fodder’ back in the day (run Forrest, run!). Today the weaponry and tactics are both much more sophisticated. They can’t afford to have crap tons of clueless anymore and the onboarding process typically weeds out the physically and mentally incapable.

The Marines can/could do everything the Army can do.

That’s a temporary remedy at best AND yet another advertisement as to why you don’t want to join the military in the first place.

Most enlistments are for 6 years. Typically 2, 3 or 4 on active duty and the remaining time in the inactive reserves. Stop loss sounds like you do all 6 on active duty.

I can see a return to the draft if recruitment’s fall to far below what is needed to maintain our AFs. Imagine being drafted into the USA or the USMC for 6 years!

Good point - the 8 years runs whether you’re AD, TR, IMA or IRR.

What are they gonna do - kick out thousands more servicemen for refusing to take the Fauci juice when they’re already running short of people?

Why, yes. Why do you ask? What does that have to do with anything?

Fine by me. Fill the ranks with trannies and other Leftists. Let them do the fighting and the dying in places like Ukraine and Somalia.

The eight year IRR clock continues. That is covered by your enlistment contract. Beyond that requires a draft.

I think during the ancient Rome Republic the draft and conscription was for 7 years.

I have an appointment Friday seeking to get a medical exemption. I had an adverse reaction to the J and J documented by a neurologist.

If the Army denies it, my next step is a congressional inquiry.

Then, refusal and hopefully forced retirement.

But maybe they’ll grant the exemption. We’ll see.

We promised NATO 100,000 of our military. Other NATO members pledged 200,000. I assume this is for the preplanned Conflict in which cannon Fodder is needed.

its also the woke, tranny ideology and feminized leadership. Being forced to get the jab is just another punch in the face.

I can vouch for that. Everyone at the military base I work at has said no way to the boosters.
