Working on it.
Spending 10 hours a day on my feet at work makes it hard to get motivated sometimes.

Forget the temp.
That water is nasty.
Who the heck would swim in it?!

On a hot day like today, the water off Cape Vincent will hit 75 degrees. If she were in a boat, half way across at Carlton Island there is a nice little cove where the water is clear to the bottom. At least twenty feet. That river is beautiful to swim and fish in this time of year.

As someone who grew up camping {near Clayton, N.Y.} right next (50' feet or less) to the Saint Lawrence River, New York.
That water was / is COLD as all get out. Considering it's still very early summer, my money is on a cold water induced (shock) heart attack.
FYI, that's the river that divides New York & Canada. Not uncommon for that wide A$$ river to freeze over solid, during winter. How solid of a freeze, you would be able to drive a D-8 Cat, Bulldozer across it, no problem.
Saint Lawrence River The River flows 744 miles from Lake Ontario into the world's largest estuary, the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Only 114 miles of the River are located in New York ... goes to Atlantic Ocean

Here in the Seattle area we had a hot spell (92 degrees for a couple of days). Had 5 drownings. The water is still really cold and that probably had something to do with it. EVERY year in the spring it happens.

I’m 62 and there is no way I would be swimming in a river. The currents can pull you down and your done.
Not a wise choice if it was her choice.

I agree, seems like a decent fellow.
