BASH: You were a senator when now-Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh testified about many issues, including obviously Roe at their confirmation hearings. Now, Gorsuch said it had been reaffirmed many times, Kavanaugh called it precedent on precedent. At that particular hearing, you were there. Some senators say that they intentionally misled the public and the Congress. What do you think?

One of the local Houston news channels (KHOU 11 - the CBS affiliate) covered this question a couple of days ago during one of their "Verify" segments. The question was asked if Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett lied during their confirmation hearings. They played snippets of each one. Gorsuch and Kavanaugh said they respected precedent, but made no promises. Barrett said she would not comment on how she might rule on anything. So, surprisingly, KHOU said the three judges did not lie or mislead during the hearings. I was frankly surprised they came to that conclusion because all the local news stations are lefty oriented.
