A former teacher at Oldham County High School received a sentence on Thursday for having sex with a minor pupil in 2018,
According to the office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, LaGrange resident Haley Reed was given a sentence for one count of rape and illegal dealing with a child.
Reed, who oversaw the high school choir, previously confessed to having sex with a minor on the school grounds several times between April and June 2018.
The teacher was charged with multiple counts of rape and sodomy as well as an unlawful transaction with a minor. She is reportedly married and has children.
Reed will serve a total of five years in prison, and probation is not an option, it was declared during Thursday’s sentencing.

Legally, sodomy can mean anything other than straight heterosexual intercouse.
Different states have defined it in slightly different ways. I did notice that marriage is a Get Out Of Jail Free card. If you’re married to the person no crime is involved.
I believe I saw that that Statute had been revised in 2015. Curious what the terminology was years ago.
