I see after a second look that you were asking why the mother is given a free pass.
As I understand it the goal of Operation Rescue, and please correct me anyone as I am not their spokesman and I am not a member as I said, but anyway the goal is to save child! When shown that her real problems were understood by OR and could be solved, the mother welcomed the deliverance. Yes I can see how there is no attempt to punish the mother and certainly no attempt to hold either the bio father or her parents responsible, I cannot imagine how that would be the sidewalk counselors job anyway, but I was made to understand that nothing they have ever done has saved as many children.

Anyone with Operation Rescue now please correct me, but this is how I understand the situation, and I think this should shared along with the truth in the OP.

Rather than taking over our will, God is long suffering and giving us the time and opportunity to change. God allowed the Canaanites about 500 years to change from their evil ways (child sacrifices, temple prostitutes, etc.). Ultimately they were “judged” and God’s will was imposed on them by the Israelites. (Imperfectly - the Hebrews ended up practicing those same evil practices!)

One day we will all be judged, and God’s will is going to be imposed on us, perfectly.

Most of us can distinguish between death due to natural causes and murder.

Agreed the regulations are no more than protections in any case.

The one or two divorce regulations to protect the innocent party. The Bible still says God hates divorce.

We are the murderers. Not the Creator. Contrarily, He did the creating and we do the destroying. He tells us so. We are fallen. He tells us all about that fall and how to be restored.

The first murder was one of Adam’s sons killing another. God did not stop that one nor millions following. He is not obligated to. He has no doubt restrained countless but who can know what “would have been?”

When we fell, sin and death entered the world. You would have liked God to prevent our Fall it seems but He does not our will - he is God, not us.

I heard about a drunk driver going up on a sidewalk, many years ago, and killing someone’s little daughter.

Would it be bad if there was divine intervention to prevent things like that?

Perhaps divine intervention to divert the car?

So abortion does permanent damage to a baby in waiting but I guess the woman ultimately decides whether to use either or any of the method available to them.

Oh I don't disagree with that at all, I'm just offering some reasons why the 'easy contraceptives' argument isn't always the easiest (or best) answer to the issue. Obviously abstaining from sex isn't going to work, unless you're married, then it just happens. And people in general aren't concerned/mature/responsible enough to consistently use simple methods like timing or condoms to consistently never get pregnant when they're not ready/want to.

It would be good

But things aren’t good.

They will be good when the world is over. Good for God’s people anyway.

But right now we live in a sin cursed world and it’s results are death

There are some things God knows are going to happen no matter how much He forbids it. Jesus said as much when the Pharisees challenged Him about divorce.

Regulating it to protect the innocent is not condoning it.

God knows the beginning from the end and where do you draw the line at how much intervention is enough.

How can it be best for a little girl to have her life cut short?

In our limited understanding, we can’t answer that. God is the only one who can. You’ll have to take it up with Him.

There is only one verse of Scripture that I have ever found that addresses that issue.

Isaiah 57:1-2 57 The righteous man perishes, and no one lays it to heart;
devout men are taken away, while no one understands.
For the righteous man is taken away from calamity; he enters into peace;

The other verse, one that God actually gave me to share with a friend before a tragedy hit them, is this….

Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

What would you like God to say?

“Slaves, disobey your masters. Run away. Attack and destroy them.”

That’s an instant death sentence.

YES!!

After all, death is the only way to eternal life...

Being a slave is hell on earth.

Obviously you condoned it as well.

With respect, I will not engage further. Have a great life. Be glad you were never a slave.

Notwithstanding points of nonconcurrence I genuinely appreciate the considered response so thank you for that.

A slave in Israel was far better off than a free man anywhere else mostly.

If foreign bought he could convert, be freed within six years, get regular days off, and be free of abuse.

If a POW same and much better than dying in the battle.

I am anti-chattel slavery and am very glad I was never a slave. But scripture confines it narrowly and protects those caught in it. Were it to urge rebellion it would just endanger the very people that need the helping.

We were slaves in Egypt you know. Brutal slavery. God sets the captives free.

God is the One who sets us free. Historically and actually.

“ 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,

to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind,

to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Luke 14 - and quoting Isaiah

Preface to the Ten Commandments:

“I am the LORD your God, who delivered you from the land Egypt,
out of the house of bondage.”
