A good argument can be made for FDR being the worst president. Among other things, he turned the federal government from a relatively small organization into a huge, money-devouring monster.
But FDR does not get my vote, as he was an incredible war-time president. The stakes were high, and almost everything he did there was correct.
I would agree with you. FDR destroyed the basic American framework and made class warfare a permanent corrosive cancer. Biden is a wrecking ball but FDR was the architect.
Unfortunately generations thought FDR was just short of God Himself. I don’t know how often I tried to make the point that everything he did deepened the depression. They wouldn’t listen.

I never understood as a kid why my dad hated FDR (”he won the war dad!”) but now I get it.
Also - the press was ALL IN for FDR.
