Yep, I’m thinking the same. The Russians figured out that slow-walking Ukraine would result in the West dumping everything they have there, and they likely knew that it would take years to replenish. Gives them a nice ‘window’ to ‘negotiate’ the breakup of NATO.
We fell right into their trap.
I am thinking the same thing. Our military officials are telling us this could take years? Unreal!
Another long war? Was it getting too hard to grift from the Afghans? Did they ask for too much? Did the corruption in Ukraine make it fertile ground? Which players made it easier to skim the profits of war from Ukraine?
If the Community supporting Ukraine really wanted to help, they’d tell the World Bank, IMF and all entities (Wall Street Hedge Funds) holding Sovereign Debt to either cancel it or cease any and all collections of interest/payments etc until the war is over.
