TYLER, Texas (AP) — Five people were shot and injured early Sunday during an outdoor event in East Texas that featured a trail ride, according to authorities.
The Smith County Sheriff’s Office said it received a call at 12:35 a.m. Sunday about multiple gunshot victims in a large pasture area in the eastern part of the county. People were taking part in an annual trail ride sponsored by Unified Elite Riderzz from nearby Marshall, Texas.

Maybe the horses decided to fight back agains max body weight rules. Could happen.
On the ad, it was an ATV ride, not a horse ride. And ATVs have headlights.

Most trail rides I know of have a 225-250 rider weight limit so I can’t figure how thems Fat Chicks in East Texas can even be allowed to mount a draft horse
Marshall TX is about three hours east of Dallas, on the way to Shreveport.

Yes, but Winona is only an Hour and 1/2 from south Dallas (35 minutes in a Dodge Hellcat the official pace car of the Dallas Ghetto), where they had the last Trail Ride (and caused so much pain for the Black Mayor and Black Police officers running off duty security, he likely told them to have the next one further away)
The poster shows a $1500 prize for “Most Members on Horseback”. Must have had ATVs and horses. That’s an unhappy mix — wouldn’t be surprised if conflict grew out of it.
