This is what happens when all the military officers are corrupt and they steal from the military. No one expected that Putin was going to invade Ukraine. No one knew except him. In January - February, I bet all the officers thought that they were training as usual near the border. Until the word came in and the invasion was on.

Looking back, there were reports that troops were moved away from the border. It may be that their equipment had broken down (tanks, trucks) so maybe we thought that Putin was just bluffing.
