Every time I am with someone of the liberal persuasion and a bear story comes up, they always blame the human for the bear attack. As reliable as clockwork. I imagine there is some of this thought process going on here.

Truly a tragic story. It appears only one person was involved, sex unknown, and the reporter used “they” instead of “he or she” — sloppy and grammatically incorrect, but so common now.
