On Friday night's installment of Real Time with Bill Maher, during his opening stand-up routine, Maher skewered the Supreme Court for its decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen which struck down New York's ban on concealed carry, and the historic Dobbs v. Jackson case that overturned Roe v. Wade.
Bemoaning the court upholding the Second Amendment rights of American citizens, Maher kvetched that the Supreme Court "struck down a New York law about carrying guns, you know, on your body when you leave the house, so everyone now can be strapped at all times in public." He then got in an attack on conservatives and despicably claimed they support children being killed in mass shootings: "welcome to right-wing America, where if you want to end a young life, you have to shoot them."
He then shifted gears and credited conservatives for prioritizing the appointment of justices who will overturn Roe v. Wade. "I got to give it to the conservatives. They always got this. The Supreme Court is the prize. They keep their eye on the prize, right? I mean, first Merrick Garland, that whole thing with McConnell, then Trump gets in office, Trump appoints. Three of these justices were appointed by Trump."
Of course, Maher couldn't mention former President Trump without getting in a personal attack on him: "Trump is out of office, but his awfulness lingers on. He’s like a fart with bad hair."
A bitter Maher then attacked the left-wing ideologues who refused to vote for Hillary Clinton when she ran against then-candidate Donald Trump and blamed them for the court's decision overturning Roe v. Wade: "I just want to say to all of you purists on the left who could not bring yourself to vote for Hillary Clinton because she said super predator in 1996, enjoy getting super pregnant in 2022."

BILL MAHER: Because they struck down a New York law about carrying guns, you know, on your body when you leave the house, so everyone now can be strapped at all times in public. Wow, welcome to right-wing America, where if you want to end a young life, you have to shoot them.
[Laughter & applause]
MAHER: But I got to -- I got to give it to the conservatives. They always got this. The Supreme Court is the prize. They keep their eye on the prize, right? I mean, first Merrick Garland, that whole thing with McConnell, then Trump gets in office, Trump appoints. Three of these justices were appointed by Trump. Trump is out of office, but his awfulness lingers on. He’s like a fart with bad hair.
[Laughter & applause]
MAHER: And I just... I just want to say to all of you purists on the left who could not bring yourself to vote for Hillary Clinton because she said super predator in 1996, enjoy getting super pregnant in 2022.
ISWYDT.
I agree!
Not true. He lives in a blue state, where it’s still encouraged.
In the past few years, while the Left has been going off the rails, Maher seemed to be pulling back a bit, and expressing more conservative leaning views. But proving that Leftism is truly a disease, the ruling on abortion has sent him into a deep relapse.
I didn’t claim to be a libertarian, and I never supported Obamacare by word or act before I saw its effect on people... which, I’m not saying OVERALL it’s a good idea, I’m just saying that some of its effects have worked out fine.
While he is right sometimes ...he’s still a liberal!!!
MAHER: And I just... I just want to say to all of you purists on the left who could not bring yourself to vote for Hillary Clinton because she said super predator in 1996, enjoy getting super pregnant in 2022.
What an absurd lie and absurd liar. There are no purists on the left, they are just stooges. And none of them failed to vote for Hitlery. Leftist purists who voted for anyone other than Hitlery are more rare than historical back-alley coathanger abortions.
Conservatives for Victory = America
Over the course of the whole show - Maher was balanced in his desire for a sane country. This is our ‘agree to disagree’ subject - Civ. Weird that this would be the one.
Bill Maher did.
"Yes, and between 1933 and 1945, the trains in Germany always ran on time! That's not a bad thing!"
So what you're saying is: The ends justify the means?
