Brian Laundrie admitted to killing girlfriend Gabby Petito in a notebook left in the Florida swamp where he committed suicide — but Laundrie insisted it was an act of “mercy,” according to a report Friday.
“I ended her life,” he proclaims in the note, which was recovered by the FBI in October, according to Fox News.
“I thought it was merciful, that it is what she wanted, but I see now all the mistakes I made. I panicked. I was in shock.”

Well, duh.
This is unintentionally humourous.
Two very messed up kids.
Jack and Diane?
“Brian Laundrie Admitted to Killing Gabby Petito in His Notebook: Report”
Sounds like an open and shut case then.
Brain Laundry
Mind Washing
Why didn’t he take her to a doctor no matter how long a drive? Why did he strangle her, a long painful death but himself got the quick way out, a shot to the head? Why does his note sound like a lie when he obviously is going to kill himself? Whitewashing himself? Looking out for his family?
Why at his age hasn’t he learned to spell?
He thought that was what she wanted...
IOW, he thought she wanted him to murder her, somehow only he knows this, he posited his crime he can’t justify as being justifiable, and is trying to justify the unjustifiable.
Sick, twisted man he was...
Psycho. Why she stayed with him I’ll never understand.
Exactly. Nothing but questions arise.
How did she get in his Notebook?
Human reproduction relies on hormone induced insanity, in both sexes. One of the joys of both childhood and old age is the cessation of hostilities.
Gabby and Brian were a hot mess.
they are both dead now so let them rest already.

Had to save that one in my quote files, lol.
Another young couple leading a double life. The one they put on the internet was nothing like what went on when the camera was off. Just like that idiot in Colorado who murdered his wife, unborn son and his two precious daughters.
Did he really write that...?
yes i agree. and I question both sets of parents- i would have tried really hard to talk my 22 year old “medicated for moods” daughter out of taking that trip.
Nothing good was coming out of that.
In his notes he says he couldn’t carry her back to the car and he wasn’t sure where the car was at that time.
That is not in notes. Why are you claiming that? It isn’t true.
What I do see is what he wrote on the page that begins with “They loved (me?) much...”
He wrote, “This occurred as an unexpected tragedy. Rushing back to our car trying to cross the streams of Spread creek before it got too dark to see, too cold. I hear a splash and a scream and I could barely see. I couldn’t find her for a moment, shouted her name, found her breathing heavily...”
“Her feet hurt, her wrist hurt but she was freezing, shaking violently, while carrying her she continually made sounds of pain, laying next to her she said little lapsing between violent shakes, gasping in pain, begging for an end to her pain,” he wrote.
He claimed he tried to carry her to their car but his knees buckled out of exhaustion and shock, so he started a fire to keep her warm. He then claimed that Petito wouldn’t let him leave her side to seek help”.
