I remember one of the defining differences during the early decades of Christianity was that the Christians didn’t rid themselves of unwanted or malformed children like the pagan Greeks & Romans did. The most eye-opening experience I’ve had, other than reading my Bible and the Holy Spirit giving me understanding, was reading the transcripts of the Nuremberg war crimes trials; it consists of 15 volumes; the first time is called the “The doctor trials”; it is so graphic it is difficult to read (by the way, abortion was considered a “crime against humanity” and therefore worthy of death; a number of Nazi doctors were hung for for such.)
