Texas Ban on Abortions from ‘Moment of Conception’ Set to Start in 30 Days
Breitbart ^ | June 24, 2022 | Bob Price

Friday’s decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade will make abortions illegal in Texas in 30 days. The Texas Legislature passed a “trigger law” in 2021 that makes performing abortions in Texas a felony 30 days after the Supreme Court overrules Roe v. Wade.

“The U.S. Supreme Court correctly overturned Roe v. Wade and reinstated the right of states to protect innocent, unborn children,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott said in a written statement following the SCOTUS decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. “Texas is a pro-life state, and we have taken significant action to protect the sanctity of life.”

One of those steps was the creation of a “trigger law,” House Bill 1280, that makes performing an abortion a felony beginning 30 days after the court’s decision. State Representative Giovanni Capriglione authored the bill and Governor Abbott signed it into law in June 2021.

The bill makes it a crime to perform, induce, or attempt abortion. The law provides exceptions for a life-threatening condition of the mother that could lead to her death or serious bodily injury. A violation of the law is a felony of the second degree. The death of the unborn during the abortion would increase the offense to a felony of the first degree. The person performing the abortion could also be subject to a civil penalty of up to $100,000 for each violation.

The law does not impose any penalty or fine on the pregnant female, the law states. Rep. Capriglione told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram the penalties also do not apply to a pregnant female who performs a self-induced abortion.

Babies will die because of this.

To one degree, this has got to be killing the DEMs right now. Ruling happens at the start of summer, a solid 2+ months before the start of the Fall sessions at colleges & universities.

Most of the college students are spread throughout the country rather than being congregated together, blowing their parents' money and/or school loans while not learning a damn thing about life in general.

Maybe Maybe not.

Women might already think it is law and not try for abortion.

Or they may be having to move to another state and in the process of shutting down.

This will have woman thinking twice before they spread their legs and for men to prepare before they plant their seed.

This is the way it always was throughout history and the world until feminist started giving out the milk for free and used abortion as a “post” contraception.

The partial birth abortion is what finally had people saying “enough” of this infanticide. The abortion lobby will have to look for other ways to collect baby body parts to sacrifice to their Satanic overlords.

Many of these red states are immediately activating their trigger laws.

The partial birth abortion is what finally had people saying “enough” of this infanticide.

I think the appalling full-term abortion law passed in New York in 2019 was the turning point.

Birth rates have collapsed throughout most of the word and this ruling will probably have impact outside the U.S. I would not be surprised to see Russia, China, South Korea, and Japan pass their own anti-abortion laws in the next few years.

The law does not impose any penalty or fine on the pregnant female, the law states.

Why not? Unless she was wrestled to the ground and given an abortion against her will, she's the central figure in the crime.

“Pretty sure Paxton signed off on it today to make it effective immediately.”

Paxton is a well meaning doofus. He declared a holiday, and went home to celebrate. The law doesn’t take effect until July 24th.
