Something else is being missed…
Roe v Wade was the lynchpin for all sorts of legal challenges to state and local laws, anti-abortion protests, religious medical providers. This ruling pulls the legs out from their main reference point used in court.
Now all they have is violence and state legislatures.
“She says the real fear of the Left is taking the fight back to the states again - federalism.”
I agree 1000%!!
There’s nothing the left loves more than centralized power. The reason is because it is much easier for them to coopt one center of power than 50 or hundreds.
This is the real reason why they’ve become so unhinged.
LOL...but I heard the two parties FLIPPED....all it took was for a Nixon campaign advisor to whisper the words “Southern strategy” to another Nixon campaign advisor, and then BOOM!...the next morning, every Republican woke up as a Democrat, and every Democrat woke up as a Republican!
Well at least that’s what they teach at all the colleges!
Now, abortion law requires review and majority vote just like any other law and they are deprived of that moral high ground. They are not happy.
True. And they really hate the fact that there is any debate allowed about the subject.
The thing that most of them will never admit, is that they are terrified of being told that they are sinners who will be held to account for their actions. It's one of the main reasons they strive to normalize every kind of deviancy.
Totally agree. Now state legislators will have to deal with this rather than hide behind fed law. Good.
Hmmm...this page no longer exists when I try clicking on the link.
I think this ruling has removed the top cover Dems at local levels have enjoyed for decades.
Now, people have to commit to a position. They never wanted to have to decide on this, and that’s because they know there are areas all over the US where abortion doesn’t fly.
The top cover is now gone.
It’s going to be real interesting when state legislatures in, say, Georgia, draft and submit laws restricting/eliminating abortion.
The movie industry here in Georgia threatened to move a few years ago when a “religious freedom bill” was introduced. Corrupt RINOs Kemp, Ralston and a few others got it squashed because they didn’t want their money laundering pipeline to go away.
Most folks were cheering the potential of the movie folks packing their sh*t and leaving.
This is going to get real interesting.
RINOs like Kemp and the rest have bad cover for years because of Roe. No more.
We used to see each other every weekend on the streets of Los Angeles.
My wife and I as pro-lifers, seeking to counsel young women and keep them from entering the abortion mill to kill their baby. I was the leader of our chapter of Operation Rescue.
Tammy would be there in direct opposition to us. We knew each other by name and would talk often. She was the leader of her pro-abortion group.
Glad to see her turn her life around in that regard.
Tammy WAS an absolute RABID DEM with a radio show in LA she like Leo Terrell have made a 180* degree turn around!! Tammy made the turn around about a decade ago Leo believed in Trump and the effort he was putting into black communities he is a DIE HARD Trump guy!!{
When all you have is emotions and feelings, you’ve got to resort to violence to get your way. Logic, decency, and common sense are all traits of a fully developed mind. Pinkos don’t have that.
Imaginary mic drop. Click bait title.
The Congress can make a law regulating abortion and making it legal in all 50 states there-bye superceding all the state’s laws...just like they did with title 9 and other “civil rights” laws. The question is will they? I’m sure Dementia Joe will sign the bill! I’m not a fan of abortion but they can federalize the issue, heck if they could get the votes they could craft an amendment. The Supreme Court took itself out of the abortion moral wars is all they did and now they can sit back and just refuse to take anymore cases on the issue that comes their way.
Not my thread. I just supplied a working link. Try replying to post #1
No. There is no room for a National solution. This is not a Federal issue. Choose where you live wisely.
In America 50 states work out a formula that works for their state. If the people don’t like the solution vote in a new state government.
Congress can only regulate the areas the Constitution gives it jurisdiction over.
The SC has just definitively confirmed abortion is a State’s issue. Congress has no power since any law would be challenged and meet the same fate. Any power not specifically enumerated by the Constitution is left to the States.
No they can't, again due to Federalism and enumerated powers, the Federal Government has no say in abortion.
However they may try and get around this by States "voluntarily" agreeing in some way as with title 9 which is a bribe using Federal funds.
This (and the backstabbing GOP's red flag "gun safety" law) is much more ominous, since they are sure to tie Medicare/Medicaid funding to liberal abortion laws in some way, thus doing an end run around the Constitution since its "voluntary", just like you "voluntarily" filing your tax returns which can be used against you in court.
Hmm...this page doesn’t exist. Try searching for something else.
Communists are always outraged when Americans get more freedom.
