Interesting!! Thank you for sharing this! Such a coincidence in that, this week, I spent an entire day being interviewed by medical pros for a prospective kidney transplant. One of them told me that the MRI contrast can totally destroy weak kidneys and put a person on dialysis overnight! Also, being unvaxxed for COVID, I asked for opinions regarding natural immunity. Of course, they were all staunch supporters of taking the vax, regardless, per transplant patients. However, one of them went on and on about expected unknowns about damage that COVID will do to people who’ve contracted and survived it, a decade or more from now. That particular doctor was convinced that it was a nefarious construct that’s not yet completed its agenda and that the vax is the least of our worries. Yikes.
I have had it with the medical professionals unwilling to admit that something may be a problem even though there aren’t 20 studies proving it.
I just roll my eyes internally at MRI technicians that say contrast is really only a problem if you have kidney disease where you are on dialysis. It’s just not true.
So here is my recommendation for those that have EGFRs that show some level of kidney disease. If you have to get MRI contrast make sure you drink plenty of water to try to flush it out. And look for things that might help...like spirolina powder. I use XR shield from LifeExtension after my debacle with an MRI. Who knows if it helps. there are some studies done on spirolina powder
I wont get an MRI with contrast unless life or death. Read up on the wife of Chuck Norris
Mayo Clinic has a gadolinium test . I had an alarming amount of gadolinium still being excreted 90 days after an MRI with contrast.
Getting someone to admit there is such a thing as gadolinium deposition disease is like finding a needle in a haystack. Most look at you like you are some kind of hippie dippie alternative medicine freak
