Google is adding a label to Maps that lets people identify their business as being LGBTQ-plus-owned, joining Yelp, which has a similar label. While Google Maps has had labels like LGBTQ-friendly and Transgender Safe Space for years, the company says that the new business identity attribute will help people who choose to support diverse businesses and could help queer people find nearby communities.

This has indeed happened to me TODAY.
I’ve been looking for senior care and hotels. Was using Google maps.
One hotel I looked at in small town - was sure to list (along with contact info) itself as “LGBTQ friendly” - with a rainbow f(l)ag so it’s spotted RIGHT AWAY. This was a Fairfield - so let’s boycott all Marriott.
On senior care, I got an independent local business, called “Glorious King” - so I figure it’s a religious-type owner. But, on detailing with Google - rainbow f(l)ag telling us LGBTQ friendly! Tell me, how many seniors are they figuring to be f ags?
My kid wanted a story book for bedtime. Figured I would avoid Target as the globohomo has devoured the book section there.
A locally owned store would be fine, especially in a more conservative part of the city. We wouldn’t be bombarded there. Wrong.
Most of the books were LGBTQIABCXYZ++ themed. Buried amongst them all were a few fathers’ day books so I bought one of those.
It’s really disconcerting all the propaganda when you have a kid who doesn’t know how babies are made and thinks she hatched from an egg in the flamingo exhibit at the zoo.
I want to see them identify businesses that support BLM!

No idea. I hate coffee, and therefore have no idea what goes on in the mind of coffee shop owners.... or patrons.
