There was a facility for youth that was shut down in the 90s
in Utah because it was treating teenagers terribly. It was not a religious organization but simply run by shrinks. Kids were forced to sleep on mats on the concrete floor for example.
One Utah school district had a “time out” box where they put uncooperative special needs students. It was a booth without any way to see out. Such boxes were used in SARs training.
The Utah DFCS was put in Federal receivership because of all the children whi died in foster care. I could go on for pages but its the shrinks and behavioral specialists you have to watch.
I know these things because I was involved in shutting these things down.
There are thousands of these schools still out there, religious and secular. Just because they say they are “Christian” does not mean they walk on water. Parents should remember the old saying “let the buyer beware”.
A lot of shrinks are crazier than their patients.
