The chief and officers on scene deserve life in prison.
They are inhumane.
Police + gun free zone = total safety
There’s no reason for a citizen to carry a gun…
Fire them all. Run them out on a rail tarred and feather. Deny them water, food and shelter for a distance of 500 miles in every direction. Burn down their homes and salt the earth they stood on.
Every cop there should commit suicide.
The on-scene commander, Pete Arrendondo, said he left his police radio behind because he thought that carrying it would slow him down. That is, of course, an outrageous lie. Yet this piece of garbage still has his job, and he still collects his pay.

In addition, did these classrooms not have outside windows?
Fire them all and never let them be so much as a night watchman at a cemetery ever again.
They are eliminating windows from classroom doors for security purposes. I do not know if this classroom had a window or not. It is irrelevant.
The door was unlocked and they could have breached at any time. Instead, the stood outside for an hour and listened to children being executed one after another, many bleeding out that could have survived.
If I was a parent of one of the victims, I would hunt down the chief and every officer a remove them from the Earth.
Eliminate windows? So eliminate the last avenue of escape!!!! WTH????

Most classrooms have windows, but not all. I instructed my son that if a shooter is in the building to break the window and make a run for it. Do not shelter in place.
But teachers have been instructed to shelter in place, creating sitting ducks for an active shooter. It is stupid and needs to end.

I can’t imagine that the classroom wouldn’t have at least one window. At a minimum, the cops should have immediately fired tear gas through that window. And positioned a sniper outside. And then toss a flash grenade as the classroom door was breached.
It is beyond comprehension that none of this was done. Instead all those geared-up cops just stood around like movie actors on a break. Bless those Border Patrol guys who showed up, and took care of business.
Who ordered the Cops to stand down? That is the question..and it must be answered, NOW.
They should all have been immediately fired and charged with professional misconduct at the very least.
