LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro police are investigating after Mayor Greg Fischer was assaulted at Fourth Street Live on Saturday night.
According to mayor's office spokesperson Jessica Wethington, Fischer was at Fourth Street Live earlier this evening when he was approached by an individual who then proceeded to punch him.
The mayor is doing fine, said Wethington.
Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating the incident and has released photos of the suspect that they believe is responsible for the assault.
LMPD said that they will release further information as it becomes available. They have also asked anyone with information on the assault to call 502-574-LMPD.
Lousyville-Liberalville - Loutville. Why do I use these insulting terms? The city has went downhill under leftist leadership and how: 1. So many people with some money are moving out that a small once-rural area in Indiana called Floyd’s Knobs across the river is one of the fastest growing and high property values in the state. Floyd’s Knobs Middle school is the largest middle school in the state now despite having a population of 12000 in the neighborhood while Indianapolis has almost .9 million for example 2. Violent crime is skyrocketing. Many killers get 20-25 years prison sentences but are given lenient parole opportunities and often get out in 7-10 years. He got punched in an entertainment area the city has spent great sums of money on and has told the population it was safe repeatedly. 3. Louisville is an almost radically leftist city in a very conservative state. For example they are only 1 of the last 2 cities that force busing children for racial purposes anywhere (that I know of). 4.5…I could go on and on you get the drift.
Anyway wish they had the actual punch on video😹.

It’s absolutely amazing that the media cannot utter “black” or anything about race when describing black suspects. It’s like uttering the most obscene of words, which aren’t allowed by the FCC.

As a Louisville resident, I could not agree more. I am trying to get out of the county myself because Fischer and his allies have been trying hard to find a loophole in Kentucky’s preemption laws to pass all kinds of California styled gun control in what is otherwise the 6th most progun state in the country. He even went as far as lobbying the state legislature, controlled by Republicans, to carve out an exemption for Louisville so they could pass all kinds of draconian gun bans.
Mayor McBikelane, as he is described by many detractors here locally...had it coming.

Back in the day, if we wanted to see trash, we'd cruise the West End. Sounds like the West End has grown.
There is atleast one section 8 apt unit cluster in east Louisville and I think local politicians are expanding more. From what I understand PRP and parts of Valley Station even slight ly resemble the West end in crime. Happened when the city demolished HUD units downtown and moved the folks out that way. Surprised honestly that that did not cause some explosive confrontations by now.

Born in Shively and moved to Indiana in ‘74. Eventually work, kids, life. Then when I took early retirement 5 years ago I moved back to the area.
What shocked me was how the bad areas when I left as a child were all focused in one section. Now Taylorsville road, cane run road, parts of Shelbyville road etc have suddenly gotten these bad ugly, blighted parts. I hate to use the analogy but it’s almost like a cancer that metastasizes and spreads out to healthy normal areas of a body eventually causing death.
