The suspect allegedly behind a shooting at an Alabama church that saw two seniors killed was a regular attendee at the house of worship, cops have revealed. Speaking to the press Friday, police said the gunman was in attendance at he Alabama Episcopalian church at the time of the shooting Thursday, at a meeting billed as a 'Boomers' Potluck.'
The suspect, identified as a 71-year-old white male and an 'occasional attendee of the church' Friday, pulled out the firearm roughly an hour into 5pm event, and shot three attendees, two fatally.
The gunman had reportedly concealed the gun, a pistol, before opening fire at the potluck dinner.
Police said a 'hero' Good Samaritan who also attended the event prevented more casualties by restraining the suspect at the scene, striking him with a chair and holding him to the ground until police arrived.
At a news conference Friday morning, Vestavia Hills police provided some details on the shooting, such as the identities of the victims - but did not release a name or motive for the incarcerated suspect, who faces capital murder charges.
The suspect reportedly called himself Mr. Smith and was sitting alone at the event when a fellow congregant invited him to their table.
The man then refused, witnesses said, producing the handgun and opening fire.

I’ve tried to find the name of the suspect, without luck. He called himself Mr. Smith, apparently. Between the poorly written articles and the lack of information from LE, this is a strange story.
‘They’ are chronologically older but ‘they;’ who are running the country are five year olds and empty teens.

Thompson, Malcom X, Charles Manson, Brian Wilson, the Rolling Stones, the Jefferson Airplane, and the Mamas and the Papas, Jimmy Page, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, etc, etc, etc, just about everyone that you can name.

The point is the SHEEP - the HERD - was a bunch of (real) Boomers who did the bidding of the commies. (Probably influenced greatly by the stupid devotion of “Great (not) Gen” to Dr. Spock, who helped raise these spoiled rotten brats. They screamed so much they got their way, and they’ve been getting their way ever since. Including ceaseless patting themselves on the back.
Look again at your name-dropping, and I’ll bet you’ll find most of those were born 1943+, anyway.
It's the DailyMail. Apparently that's how the British tabloid press clears up the question as to whether it was a wounding shot or a lethal shot—they say "shot dead" where we would just say "shot 4, killing 1" or "shot a man, killing him."
You are the one trying to ignore the facts, all those listed and many, many more or either silent generation or older, not to mention all of the older adults.
Believe me, the 60s was about adults and even pre WWII adults, not the five year olds and 20 year olds, by the way, you do know that the under 30s voted heavily (52%) for Nixon in 1972, and that they were the most supportive of the Vietnam war, I hope, and why not, the boomers were our last great warrior generation with 10 million serving.
