I had a really bad reaction to Crestor and my wife (doctor) had me switch to plain, full flush, niacin. 3g/day (1gx3 spaced out).

Still flush and sweat like a pig for 15 minutes but it works and costs basically nothing.

The slow release doesn’t work.

Just watch your liver and kidney function numbers via bloodwork. If you can tolerate boring lunches, eating oatmeal once per day(co-workers and I proved this one) and using less flush niacin(100mg to 200mg) works quite nicely. If you want the circulatory system cleaner(Linus Pauling, modified) add lysine + proline + Vit C morning and night.

Doc gave me liptor....my calf muscles said “NOPE, here have some pain” and my research determined to not use muscle-killer. The heart is a muscle. Funny how after statin use became widespread....viagra came into widespread use eh?

I’ll stick to the supplement route vs pharma route on this one. You also may find this useful including the comments’ section. Note: HDL of around 40 is the number for longest life based on “all cause” death stats. Primary lipid numbers? triglycerides/HDL equal or less than 2.0 for best health.
