I think I’ve finally got the secret. I spray the outside of the house with peppermint oil. They, like many bugs (ants) HATE IT! Keeps them away from the house. I’ll spray it onto all the mulch beds for the shrubs/flowers around the house too.
Best solution for roaches - Harris Roach Tablets. The Boric Acid has a lure with it in these tablets. The acid eats holes in the roaches exoskeletons and they essentially evaporate. They’re fairly safe to handle and inexpensive. Lasts for years.
